First of all, let's introduce the area, since I assume you're a newcomer (why else check a blog on the discovery of a town ? Here is what it looks like (at least for the more touristic area):

So a few things you need to know about Düsseldorf (which you can probably find out using you google browser) - Anyhow:

Düsseldorf is the capital city of the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia and centre of the Rhine-Ruhrmetropolitan region.

The hardest thing....

When creating a blog, as some of you may know, the hardest thing is not to set everything up, rather to find material to keep it going. An even bigger challenge is: what will the first post be?

Well, since there is no perfect answer to that, better not to think too long about it...

A bit more than a week ago, Amanda and I met for coffee in Düsseldorf, and this pretty much tells you all about how the idea of a blog came up.
